After volunteer after volunteer stocked hotels and strip clubs with bars of soap with these words printed on them:
"Are you being forced to do anything you do not want to do? Have you been threatened if you try to leave? Have you witnessed young girls being prostituted? If so, Please Call: 1-888-3737-888 National Human Trafficking Hotline"
It would have been worth it for just one girl to be rescued, let alone three.
Through looking through a booklet of missing girls, one hotel worker identified a 17 year old girl who was then rescued by local authorities. The second girl, age 19, had been missing for 3 years from Las Vegas, and was rescued. Thirdly, a 21 year old from Cleveland - has been re-united with her family after being trapped in the sex industry for 5 years.
Realizing that the average life expectancy for a girl from the time she is taken into the sex industry is 7 years, the last girl made it out just in time.
It was because of these willing Americans who put their agenda, schedules, and super bowl parties on hold to travel to Indianapolis, Indiana and use awareness that girls lives were saved. It is especially encouraging to see men such as Chad Current from Living Hope Church and those behind "The Stand" - Christian men taking a stand for the victims of sex trafficking that remind us courage and chivalry do remain in a culture of gratification and exploitation.
